My last week tutorial was about how do i turn questions into variable equations. The question I wanted to convert was Charlie and Evelyn sold a combine total of 78 sodas. Charlie sold 18 more than twice of what Evelyn sold. To solve it I had to change Charlie and Evelyn to variable equation. So Evelyn was easy I knew nothing about her so she is just x and Charlie on the other hand was pretty difficult. He was 18 more twice Evelyn. He turned out to be x(2)+18. Together it was 2(2)+18
To solve it I had to change Charlie and Evelyn to variable equation. So Evelyn was easy I knew nothing about her so she is just x and Charlie on the other hand was pretty difficult. He was 18 more twice Evelyn. He turned out to be x(2)+18. Together it was (2x)(2)+18=78. So I did my math and x=15. I checked I added 15 and 15 to get 30, then I multiplied 2 by 30 to get 60 , finally to add 18 to 60 as a result of 7. Finally that's how I my answere. For my February goals I have completed all except for the home work card because I got one at he very end. Besides that I did participate more than five times in all my classes and I kept a B or higher all of February. I have learned many things this past week. For Social Studies I am learning about The Aztecs. In Math we are learning about percents and equations that have to do with time, distance, and rate. In Science I'v learned how many organ system there are and how they work together. Last but not least there is ELA and we learned about many things like subject agreements and plot twists in stories.
